ROY, DANIEL - It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Daniel Roy, 61, of Dieppe. Daniel passed away peacefully on Thursday February 14, 2013 in the Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Florida, with his wife, Jeannita Belliveau, and son, Donald by his side. He was an industrious and devoted entrepreneur with many achievements. Daniel was best known in the corporate world for founding and operating Domus Silvae Dist. (Domus Flooring & Stairs). Daniel was an outstanding man, musician, woodworker and lover of the outdoors; he had great respect for all of God’s creations. He took great pride in staying active but especially enjoyed being with his golfing and tennis buddies. His greatest pride, joy and love went to his wife, Jeannita, and children Donald and Renée. Besides Jeannita and Donald, he leaves to mourn his mother, Corinne; his sisters: Colette (Daniel), Suzanne (George) and Diane (Gilberte); his niece, Julie and godchild, Mathieu. He deeply cherished his in-laws, Maria, Rita (Raymond), Noëlla (Phillip) and Muriel; his nieces, nephews and his many good friends throughout Canada and Florida. He was predeceased by his daughter, Renée; his father, Livio; brothers: Maurice and Donald; mother and father-in-law: Irénée and Alma; brothers-in-law: Roger and Norman.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45) for Ste-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus R.C. Church, 160 Ste-Thérèse Street, Dieppe, from where the funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday February 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. Father Arthur Bourgeois will be presiding. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.
