It is with great sadness that the family of the late Howard Lavers announce his passing on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the age of 57 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Michael (Karri), Borden, Ont., Jeremy (Dawnie), Grande Prairie, Alb. and Christina, Port Saunders; grandsons: Ashton and Alexei; granddaughter Taylor; mother Pauline; brothers and sisters: Bob (Judy), Joe (Barb), Cecil (Lillian), Olive (Ron), Laverne, Josephine and Lorna (Leo); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Matthew and brother Derek. The family will be receiving friends from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Port Saunders on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
