Mildred Ruth “Millie” (Compton), 68, of Queensland passed away Friday, January 29th, 2010 in the QEII Health Sciences Canada. Born in St. Eleanors, P.E.I. she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Ruth (Pickerum) Compton. Millie will be remembered fondly by many as Mom. She worked many years with Imperial Oil and retired from Statistics Canada in 2002. She was a proud Butterfly and over the years took an active role with Brownies and was known as the Brown Owl. She was also an avid bingo player. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, daughter and grandsons for her kind and outgoing personality. Survived by her husband Albert Lloyd; daughter, Brenda Joan Auton, Dartmouth; grandsons, Damon Justice and Kieron Joseph Auton; Aunt Jean (Oliver) Cole, Summerside; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors 2–4 p.m., Sunday, January 31st. A celebration of Millie’s life will be held 11 a.m., Monday, February 1st, both in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Rev.
