It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Emilia Hynes (nee Halbot) announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Friday, January 29, 2010, at the age of 82 years. She will be sadly missed by six sons: Danny (Betty) of Conception Bay South, Clifton (Betty) of Stephenville, Andy (Barb) of Port au Port, John (Karen) of St. Albert, Alberta, David (Bonnie) of Fort McMurray, Alberta and Stanley of Port au Port; six daughters: Avis LaFitte (Francis) of Port au Port, Patsy Lucas (LeRoy) of Aguathuna, Margaret Hynes (Clyde) of Mount Pearl, Dianne Russell (Ron) of Mississauga, Ontario, Julia Marche (Conrad) of Shelburne, Ontario and Milly Levy (Edison) of Brampton, Ontario; four brothers: Walter Halbot (Mary) of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Gordon Halbot of Brampton, Ontario, Harold Halbot and Philip Halbot, both of Heatherton; two sisters: Mona Saunders of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Ada Hickman of Hamilton, Ontario; brothers-in-law: Billy Joe Hynes (Theresa) and Phonse Hynes (Theresa), both of Port au Port; one aunt, Verena Trask of Stephenville Crossing; 24 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel in 1986; son Wayne in 1967; son-in-law Robert March in 1995; parents, Arthur & Mildred Halbot; and brothers: Arthur and Patrick Halbot. Friends may call at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, February 1st at 1:00 p.m. at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East, with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
