Passed peacefully away on March 1, 2013 at Chancellor Park after a short illness in the presence of his family. Clarence Chamberlin Janes formerly of Pool’s Island age 74 years. Predeceased by his parents: George and Pauline; brother Fred and sister Jessie. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 45 years Angela (nee Hill); loved and devoted son John; his pride and joy granddaughter Shiann (mother Tanya Wells); brother Cyril (Betty); nephew Mark; sisters-in-law: Mildred and Ann Hill; brother-in-law Lester Hoyles. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. Clarence had a great passion for the horse racing industry, being an owner, fan and judge. As well as a long time proprietor of Janes Ultramar at the corner of Merrymeeting and Newtown Road. Special thank you going out to the doctors, nurses and staff at Waterford Hospital and Chancellor Park. In Lieu of flowers donations in Clarence’s memory may be made to Wesley United Church or Alzheimer Society. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. Due to circumstances beyond our control the funeral for the late Clarence Janes Scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, 2013 is now taking place on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. from Wesley United Church, because of this change their will be a Visitation on Tuesday, March 4, 2013 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. The family regrets any inconvenience caused by this change in the service.
