Passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, Daniel G. Crane of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 50 years. Predeceased by parents: John and Agatha; sisters: Madonna Pike, Bernadette Crane-Thistle and Gloria Sooley; father-in-law: Jim Mercer. Left to mourn, wife: Brenda; two daughters: Vanessa and Caitlyn, both of Riverhead, Harbour Grace; two sons: Steven and Adam, both of Riverhead, Harbour Grace; one granddaughter: Brooke; two sisters: Diane Crane, St. John’s and Patricia (Paul) Walters, Ottawa, ON; mother-in-law: Rose Mercer, Upper Island Cove; brother-in-law: Barry Mercer, Upper Island Cove; sister-in-law: Diane (Jack) Cleary, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Fr. William Pearce conducted the funeral Mass on Saturday, March 2 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment took place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Donations in his memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
