It is with great sadness that the family of the late ELLEN (NELLIE) BARNES, formerly of Bay L'Argent, NL, announces her passing at the Glenbrook Lodge on February 28, at the age of 96. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are; Sons – John (Carol), Richard (Libby), Thomas (Ida); Daughters – Vivian, Maxine (Robert Kohanski), Linda (Gerald Power); Brother – Thomas Osbourne (Effie); 17 Grandchildren, 22 Great-grandchildren & 2 Great-great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Pre-deceased by Husband – Joseph, Baby Daughter – Lydia Maud; Brother – Jacob Osbourne; Sons-in-law – Harry & Joseph.

The funeral service took place on Tuesday, March 5, at 2:00 pm, from St. Hilda's Anglican Church. Interment followed at St. Hilda's Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nellie’s memory may be made to the Glenbrook Lodge.
