SHERRARD, OMER - The death of Omer Holmes Sherrard husband of Dawna (Harris) Sherrard of Boom Road, NB, occurred at his residence on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the age of 86. Born in North Esk, NB, on June 17, 1926, Omer was the son of the late John H. and Agnes (Holmes) Sherrard. Omer was retired from Repap Pulp & Paper and was involved in Sunny Corner Local Service District. Omer is survived by three daughters: Gail Colosimo (Paul) of Stilesville, NB, Lynne Murphy (Kevin) of Wayerton, NB and Sally Estey (George) of Exmoor, NB; four sons: Roger (Mary) of Miramichi, NB, Paul (Susan) of Moncton, NB, Ian at home and Kevin (Tara) of Boom Road, NB; nine grandchildren: Peter, Melanie, Maggie, Robin, Lindsay, Jessica, Katie, Ian and Emma; two great grandchildren: Xander and Owen and many nieces and nephews. Omer is predeceased by seven sisters: Mary, Dora, Olive, Alma, Ruth, Pearl and Viola; two brothers: William & Wesley.
Visitation will be at the Boom Road Pentecostal Church on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 from the Boom Road Pentecostal Church at 2 PM with Pastor Fred Williams officiating. Burial will take place in the Boom Road Pentecostal Cemetery later in the spring. In Omer’s memory a donation may be made to Servants Heart Ministry or a memorial of one’s choice.
