ROBERT ALLAN COULTER

ROBERT ALLAN COULTER

May 28, 1938 ~ February 27, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Coulter. Bob passed peacefully in the company and in the arms of his loving family.
Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Selma, his son Robert Jr. and his daughter Debbie (Kevin) and his three beautiful grandchildren, Sydney, Sarah and Adam. Also survived by his stepmother Ottis Coulter, brother Don (Joan) and sister Margaret Meers. Predeceased by his father Mervin Coulter, mother Dorothy Thomas and brother Maurice Coulter.
Bob was born in Edmonton, Alberta. He moved to Vancouver at the age of four. Bob grew up in Lynn Valley where he made lifelong friends. In 1955 he joined the Air Force and served a total of nearly ten years. He was also proud to have served for one year as a Peacekeeper in Egypt. Bob retired from BC Tel after 30 years of service then moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1995, where he and Selma settled in Gibsons.
“Dad will always be remembered for his unrelenting sense of humour even in the worst of times and his never-ending love for his best friend and companion, Mom.”
We would like to thank the staff at VGH ICU and the Cancer Agency for the great care they provided.
It is beyond words to express how much Bob / Dad / Grandpa will be missed. A Celebration of Life will be held in Powell River at a later date.
