Geraldine Ruth (nee Atwater) Moore, 69 of the River Road, Pictou County, passed away March 5, 2013 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late George and Jeanette (McLaren) Atwater.
Geraldine was born in New Glasgow and raised in Parkdale. She kept in touch with all her Parkdale childhood friends. She had been a resident of Plymouth since 1989 where she volunteered at the Plymouth Community Centre, and cared for her mother for many years.
She is survived by her children: Nancy (Todd) MacInnis, Brule Shore; Tammy (Colin) Campbell, New Glasgow; grandchildren: Cole Carruthers and Katelyn Campbell, both of New Glasgow; a brother Gregory Atwater, Blue Mountain; a sister-in-law Cheryl Morrison, Cape Breton.
She was predeceased by a brother Gordon Atwater, a sister-in-law Karen Atwater.
Cremation to take place.
The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Friday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Richard Sand presiding. Burial of ashes will take place in the Telford Cemetery at a later date.
