Charles Tower

It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Charles Elmer "Sonny" Tower, age 85, of Beckwith. Sonny passed away peacefully at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Born in Salem, Mass, he was a son of the late Charles and Marguerite (Morton) Tower.

He was a member of the Royal Canadian Engineers for six years which included time in Germany and a one year term as a peacekeeper in Egypt. Sonny then returned to take over the family farm in Beckwith which he ran until his retirement.

He will be dearly missed by his daughter H. Marliese Kirby, Bridgetown; sons William R. (Janet), Beckwith and Phillip, Oxford; grandchildren Trevor (Michelle), Chris (Virginia), Sarah (Tom) and Emily; Great Grandchildren Annabelle, Charles and Claire.
He was predeceased by much-loved wife Margaret Rose (Hamilton), brother Robert, sister Florenza and granddaughter Sherry Lynn in infancy.
