Sarah Anne 'Sally' (nee Fraser) Mansfield
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, mother and grandmother, Sally Mansfield on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at home.
Born in Little Bras d’Or, Sally was the daughter of the late William Ronald and Rachel Ann Fraser.
Her family was her pride and joy and she loved spending time with them.
Besides her many accomplishments in life, she loved volunteering her time at the Bras d’Or Elementary School.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Peter; sons, Ronnie (Jackie), Peter (Helen), Gary and Milli, Steven (Tabatha); daughters, Rachel and Sarah Mae; grandchildren, Brittany, Matthew, Ryan, Brandon and great-grandchild, Tyvon Fraser. Sally will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, Sally was predeceased by her brothers, Russell, Rannie, John Willie, Duel, Buddy, Johnny, sisters, Mary, Theresa, Betty and Anne.
Sally was the last surviving member of her family.
We, the family, would like to send a special thanks you out to Robin and Phyllis Mansfield, EMS responders, Florence fire department and the Cape Breton Regional Police.
At mom’s request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, March 9 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Bras d’Or with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating. A reception will follow at the parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
