Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 5, at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. Predeceased by his beloved daughter Sharyn, his parents Suzanne and John Power, and son-in-law, Garry Browne. He is the last of 13 siblings of Argentia: Monica, Kit, Mary, Margaret, Sarah, Rose, Leo, Bill, Jack, Jim, Mike and twin brother, Edmund. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 62 years, Joan (nee Evans); sons: David (Judy) and Kevin (Rhonda); daughters: Doreen Browne and Carol (Mark); son-in-law Jim Piercy; grandchildren: Janet (Steve), Greg, Ricky (Katherine), Suzanne, Matthew, Gillian (Ryan), Julie (Justin), Mark, Sean, Jessica (Kieran), Michael, Lindsay, Matthew and Nicole; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Benjamin and Ciaran; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Many thanks to the staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home and Hoyles-Escasoni Complex for their exemplary care and attention. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home (LeMarchant Road) with visitation Friday, March 8, 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m. -9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be held Saturday, March 9, at 1 p.m. from St. Pius X Church (Smithville Crescent). Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NL.
