Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on March 6, 2013 from complications with Diabetes and Heart disease, at the age of 83. Retired nurse from the Grace Hospital. Predeceased by her Parents James and Gertrude; brother Jim. Leaving to mourn her husband Austin of 58 years; children: John, Steven (Patti) of Fergus ON; Jane (Corey) of Labrador City NL; brother John (Marion) of west Midlands, UK; grandchildren: Holly (Roger), Jason (Karen), Brooklyn, Jeff, Scott and Sarah; great-grandchildren: Jack and Grace; as well as many dear family and friends. The family would also like to give a special thank you to Lori Metcalfe, her nurse for her care and support. A special thank you also to the nurses, doctors and staff of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Special relatives Tim Rowcliffe (Andrea) and Makayla. As an expression of sympathy flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in Mary’s name may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Saturday, March 9 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Sunday March 10, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with interment to take place at a later date.
