Vaughn Scott

SCOTT, VAUGHN - Vaughn Scott, 88, of Drew Nursing Home, Sackville and formerly of Moncton, with loving family members at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Born in Baie Verte, he was the son of the late James and Gertrude (Belden) Scott. Vaughn was a retired Credit Manager at Modern Construction with over 30 years service. He was a member of St. John’s United Church, former clerk of session, former secretary of the Trustee Board and was an Honorary Elder Emeritus of the church. Vaughn was a former member of the Moncton Rotary Club, past president of the Moncton Construction Association and former treasurer of the Greater Moncton Probus Club. He was a member, past master, past treasurer and past secretary of Keith Lodge #23 F&AM and was a member of Frank H. Tingley #5 OES and Moncton Legion Branch #6. Vaughn was a Veteran of the Second World War, having served overseas in Continental Europe with the Carleton York Regiment of the Canadian Army. Vaughn will be sadly missed by his sisters, Carrie Scott and Eileen Johnstone, both of Sackville; brother, James Scott (Carolyn) of Baie Verte; sister in law, Edith Scott of Sackville; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. In addition to his parents, Vaughn was predeceased by his wife Marjorie (Pope) Scott (2003); sisters, Dora, Emma and Evelyn; brothers, Joseph, Burris and Ralph.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Keith Lodge #23 F&AM Memorial Service to be held Monday at 6:30 pm. Funeral Service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 1:30 pm with The Rev. Aaron Billard and Rev. Dr. Douglas MacEachern officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
