Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on March 8th, 2013. Charles Edward Smith aged 85 years. Predeceased by his parents: Edith and William Smith; all his brothers and sisters: the last of the Smith Family generations. Also Predeceased by brothers-in -law: Cyril Benmore, and Gordon Fillier. Leaving to mourn his wife of 48 years with fond and loving memories Shirley; daughter Debbie (Garry); sons: Carl (Valerie), and Derek. His precious grandchildren: Ryan, Courtney, Olivia, Madison, and his best pal Coco; sisters-in-law: Yvonne Benmore, Audrey Smith, Dianne Benmore, Lorraine Fillier, Marg Benmore; brother-in-law Fred Benmore, as well as a number of other special nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many dear and special friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Avenue on Sunday, March 10th, 2013 and Monday, March 11th, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place at the Church of the Ascension location on Smallwood Drive on Tuesday, March 12th, 2013 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow, interment to take place on Wednesday, March 13th, 2013 at the Anglican Cemetery Kenmount Road.
