It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Hilda Warren of Chapel Arm. She passed away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on March 8, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 17, 1923 in Chapel Arm and married Albert Raymond Warren in 1948. She was predeceased by her husband Ray in 1994., her parents: John and Caroline Reid, and all her 8 siblings. Leaving to mourn are her sons: Ernest (Kay), Eugene (Marilyn), Raymond (Philomena), Randy (Margie), and John (Rhonda) with whom she resided and who took such excellent care of her: her daughter, Janice (Gerry Reid) and Judy (Peter Murphy), her 18 grandchildren; and her 11 great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn are her brothers-in-law: Charles (Marjorie) Warren, Wilson Warren; her sister-in-law Dorothy Rowe, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to mention. The family would like to thank her home care workers: Sandra and Evelyn; the staff of St. Clare's Mercey Hospital, Dr. W.H. Newhook Community Health Center, Dr. Lydia Hatcher, and Holloway’s Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at St. John the Baptist Church in Chapel Arm on Monday, March 11 2013 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to the Newfoundland and Labrador Down Syndrome Society or St. John the Baptist Church.
