Glenna Murdock
MURDOCK, GLENNA M. - 1927 - 2013 - Riverview - Glenna Margaret Murdock, widow of the late Robert K. Murdock, of Riverview and formerly of Miramichi died suddenly on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the age of 85. Born in Fredericton on August 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Murray F. Johnston and Pearl G. (King) Johnston. She was a homemaker and a retired employee of Service Canada (U. I. C. and Employment Insurance). She was a member of Bethel United Church, Miramichi, a former member of the Manse Committee as well as a life member of U.C.W. She attended Trinity United Church after moving to Riverview. She is survived by two daughters, Bonita Nason of Edmonton, AB and Tanya Prattis (Gary) of Kitchener, ON; two sons, Wayne Nason of Saint John and Garth Nason (Lynn) of Lower Coverdale; one sister, Janice Wishart (Huntley) of Fredericton; five grandchildren, Kim, Karla, Alycia, Farrah and Sara; two great grandchildren, Hayden and Ainslee. She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1996, one sister Vivian Charters; two brothers, Alvah and Francis (Buddy) Johnston; two grandchildren, Vanessa Brewitt and Trevor Nason.
Visitation took place at Cobb’s Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Riverview on Sunday, March 3, then transferred to Adams Funeral Home, Miramichi for visitation on Monday, March 4. The funeral service was held from Bethel United Church in Millbank on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 conducted by Penny Postlewaite. Interment in Miramichi at a later date.
