UPTON, REGINALD BYNO - It is with great sadness that the family of Reginald Upton announce his death at Orchard View Long Term Care Facility in Gagetown on Monday, March 11th, 2013 at the age of 95. Born in Sheffield, NB, on October 4th, 1917, he was the husband of the late Ruby Upton. Reg leaves behind his sons, Stewart (Charlotte) of Sheffield and Carl (Sylvia) of Ripples; daughter, Norma Jean (Dana) Bridges of Lakeville Corner; grandchildren, Andrew, Nicholas (Erin), Matthew, Lacey, Josie and Hayden; and great grandchildren, Cooper and Ellie. He was predeceased by his wife of 69 and a half years, Ruby; parents, Milton and Avilda (Byno) Upton; granddaughter, Karen Upton; and sister, Doris Sharpe. Reg was a devoted family man and loving husband to his wife, Ruby. He supported his family by farming as well as running a local saw mill and many people in the area can say they worked for Reg at one point or another. He was also the head of the Byno Cemetery for many years.
There will be no visitation at his request. A funeral service will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago Street, on Wednesday, March 13th, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Jane Johnson officiating.
