It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that the family of Chick Buck announces the passing of my beloved wife, our mother and grandmother after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was predeceased by her parents Clair and Dorothy Baker and brother Charles Baker.

Chick was born in Penticton, B.C. In 1950 Chick met the love of her life and best friend Ron. They courted for 4 years and then were married April 19, 1954.

In 1957 they started a family with a daughter Barbara Jean (David) which gave them two grandsons Brent and Mathew Cavanagh. In 1959 followed a son John Harry (Benny) and her son Chris Harrison.

Chick and Ron have been members of the Kamloops Vintage Car Club for 38 years, Chick has been a member with the Excelsior Rebekah Lodge # 23 for many years being a 3rd generation. Chick has also, for the past 15 years, volunteered for the Interior Savings Centre for Kamloops Blazers hockey games, concerts and events.

The family of Chick would like to thank Dr. Chung, and the wonderful staff at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice House for the care they gave.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Dr. at 1:00 p.m. Tea to follow at the Rebekah Hall at 423 Tranquille Rd.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Hospice House in Chick's memory.
