WHITE, GERARD L. - Gerard L. White of Saint John, companion of Stella M. Gautreau, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on September 17, 1935, he was a son of the late John and Ruth (Wanamaker) White. Gerard worked as a roofer and sheet metal worker, and in his spare time enjoyed the company of his many friends, as well as playing cards. In addition to Stella, his companion of 40 years, Gerard is survived by his children, Deborah White of Saint John, John White (Cathy) of Rothesay, Donald White (Heather) of Calgary, Alberta, and Danny White of Saint John; a daughter-in-law, Cathy White of Saint John; a brother, Murray White (Doreen) of Saint John; a sister, Shirley Morrissey (Edward) of Dartmouth, NS; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gerard was predeceased by a brother, Donald.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date.
