Stevens, Theresa Marie, 88 of Millbrook, passed away peacefully with her family and friends nearby, Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in Elk Court, Brookfield. Born in Lincoln, New Hampshire, on December 26, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Plourd) Parent. Theresa was married to the late John (Jackie Boy) Stevens of Millbrook, NS. She loved being around family and enjoyed playing cards, watching and reading murder mysteries and she loved everything Elvis. During WWII, Theresa worked in a munitions factory in Connecticut, USA. We are saddened by her loss of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and our friend.

She is survived by nine children, Shirley Coulter, John Stevens, Jean (Skip) Croteau, Laura Stevens, Mary Jane Stevens (Richard Johnson), William Stevens, Jacquelyn (Orad) Stevens, James (Patty) Stevens, Leroy Stevens.; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Besides her parents and her husband John, Theresa was predeceased by a grandson Robert Croteau.

Visitation will take place at the home of her daughter, Mary Stevens of 81 Abenaki Road, Millbrook, after 5 pm Thursday until her funeral mass on Saturday at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Millbrook. Father Francesco Pirisi will officiate with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Millbrook. A meal and salite will follow at the community hall. Donations in Theresa’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
