The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, of Viola “Vi” Theresa Cameron of Summerside, aged 81 years. Vi was born on Sept. 5, 1931, in Wellington Centre to her late parents Sabie and Eileen (nee Smith) Cameron. Beloved wife of Cecil and loving mother of Danny (Geralda) of Summerside, Shelley (John) Paugh of Summerside and Stephen (Patty) of Borden-Carleton. Also lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren: Kelly, Dawna, Kenny, Pamela, Marisa, Teresa, Sheldon, Kyle, Kayla and Keshia, her one great-grandchild Emilyand several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brothers Pius (Elinor) Cameron of Kentville, N.S., and Louis of Tyne Valley, her sister Sarah (John) Bryson of Trenton, ON, and her sister-in-law Norma Cameron of Miscouche. Besides her parents, Vi was predeceased by her daughter Pamela in infancy and the following brothers and sisters: Emmett Cameron, Hilda (Ron) McNeill, Beatrice (Richard) Deighan and Justin Cameron, and sister-in-law Lilianne Cameron. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Saturday, March 16, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for a funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to take place at a later date in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Wellington. Memorial donations in Vi’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of P.E.I. would be greatly appreciated.
