The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, June 22, 2008, of Mrs. Mary C. Bowlan (nee Murnaghan) of Stratford, age 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Victor James Bowlan. Dear mother of Rosemary (Vince) McKenna and David (Rosemary) Bowlan, both of Stratford. Mary is also fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Ashley and Krista McKenna and Matthew and Kaitlyn Bowlan; her sisters and brother, Sr. Elizabeth Murnaghan of Halifax, Joan (Bob) Kenny of Rye, New York, and Frank (Elsie) Murnaghan of Orleans, Ont. She was predeceased by her infant daughter and brothers and sisters, Lolie (Marcy) Murnaghan, Sr. Bernadette Murnaghan, Teresa (John) Walsh and Hubert (Eleanor) Murnaghan. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:40 Wednesday morning, then transferred to Our Lady of Assumption Church, Stratford, for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. If so desired, memorials in Mary’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
