CARNETA MAHALA MACKAY
Lieu de naissance : Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Date de naissance : 19 octobre 1942
Date de décès : 9 mars 2013
It's sad to announce that after a short illness, Carneta MacKay passed away peacefully with her children at her side.
Connie was born in Ottawa to a military family and spent most of her early years on or near bases like Petawawa, Ontario. She met and married another military man Joseph P. Haywood and together they had many years of adventures as well as four children along the way. Sadly Dad passed on in 1997. Connie then spent a few years caring for her elderly father. Her final years were spent living with family in Chilliwack, BC.
Carneta had three loves in life, family and its responsibilities, music, but most of all life itself. Connie had an indomitable spirit who took on life's challenges with a smile and charitable heart and she will be greatly missed.
Carneta is survived by brother Ronald (Fay) Graham of Hagarsville, Ont. and sister Valerie Myke of Hamilton, Ont. By her children: Michael Haywood of Kamloops, BC, Cheryl Watson of Kamloops, BC, Christine (Robert) Desjardins of Chilliwack, BC, Susan Haywood of Hope, BC. By her grandchildren: Samantha Irwin, Sarah Prendergast, Melissa Haywood, Jennifer Weldon, Alicia Walkley, Justin Haywood and Joe Stewart. By her great-grandchildren: Anthony, Isabel, Isla and Ethan.
Carneta was predeceased by both parents James and Evelyn Graham and sister Doreen Roberts as well as husband of thirty eight years, Joseph Haywood.
We her family, would like to give our heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and staff at the Chilliwack General Hospital, especially Dr. Marky and Dr. Singh and the ICU as a whole. You gave us four wonderful years with an extraordinary person.
