Theresa Livingston

LIVINGSTON, THERESA AGNES (SHANNON) - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 13, 2013, Theresa Agnes Livingston (Shannon) was called by our Heavenly Father to be with the angels. She was 85. Theresa is survived by her sisters: Doreen Lingley of Saint John, Shirley Reid (Norman) of Fredericton brothers: Greg Shannon (Bev), George Shannon (Doris) both of Hoyt and Charles Shannon (Coleen) of Enniskillen. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews whom she loved like her very own children, showing the beauty of love and family through her own eyes. Theresa worked in the Saint John area her whole life starting as a young girl serving ice-cream sundaes and making fruit baskets at The Sunray. She then spent many years in the floral business working for Keirstead’s Flower Shop and Dorine’s Flower Centre and of course making most of her family’s bridal bouquets. Upon retirement she could be seen in her little silver car heading Up Country to visit family or to Grand Bay Pizza Delight with her special nephews Jonas and Daniel McCarthy. TeeDee as she was affectionately called by those who knew her was a great sports fan with an extra special place in heart for The Blue Jays and The Maple Leafs. She also loved golf especially when her Tiger was playing. She was an avid bingo player and spoke very fondly of all the friends she knew there on Wednesday nights. In her younger days she and her husband Harold spent a lot of time dancing beautifully together dancing her favourite The Hesitation Waltz. TeeDee will be fondly remembered for her sense of humour, quick wit, great cooking her Irish Pride and a great cup of tea. She was a woman of strong faith and spent endless hours with her rosary in her hands. She believed in the love of Jesus Christ and the beauty and peace that would await her after passing. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Harold Livingston, her parents James and Edith Shannon, sisters Mary, Lena, Pauline, Estelle and Rosie and brothers Francie, Billy, Paddy and Johnny.
Visitations will be at Sunbury Funeral Home on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm.
