Boyd "Bud" Ritchie

Ritchie, Boyd “Bud” Howe - 81 of Moschelle, Annapolis Co., passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Annapolis Royal, he was a son of the late Harold and Goldie (Weir) Ritchie. Bud was retired after 25 years with the R.C.A.F.; 10 years at CFB Cornwallis before purchasing Lequille Country Store with son Danny and son-in-law Bob, of which he retired at age 70. Bud was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He looked forward to his many trips to his woods camp with friends, loved his Toronto Maple Leafs, summer time at the cottage with his grandchildren and friends, and looked forward to a phone call for a great game of cards. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Helen (Greenough); sons, Brian (Anna) of Sparta, ON; Danny (Mary) of Karsdale; daughter, Paula (Robert) Redmond of Burlington, ON; grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Cory, Melissa, Marina and Owen; great grandchildren, Hailey, Austyn and Olivia and Kip; nephew Myk McCreary. He was predeceased by sisters: Joyce and Anna. Visitation was held Tuesday March 12, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service was held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday from St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal with Canon Ken Vaughan officiating. Interment in the Harris Cemetery, Moschelle. Reception followed in the parish hall. Donations in Bud’s memory may be sent to the Victorian Order of Nurses or to the Royal Canadian Legion, Annapolis Royal.
