RHODES, FLORENCE ELOISE (STOKES) - 1916 - 2013 - At the Drew Nursing Home, peacefully during sleep in her 96th year, the family, with great sadness, announce the passing of Florence Eloise (Stokes) Rhodes. Born in Middle Sackville, August 8, 1916, Florence was a daughter of the late Harvey and Gertrude Stokes. Florence was a homemaker all her life. Predeceased by her husband William in 1986, Florence is survived by her son Alan and grandson Michael. She was also predeceased by brother Robert in 1950, son Charles in 1982, and sister Vera in 2009. She is also survived by one niece, one nephew and several cousins.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) from where visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2013. A funeral service will take place from the funeral home on Monday at 3 pm. Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Interment will be in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring.
