Sis King, 79, of Kippens, Newfoundland passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on March 16, 2013 at the Agnes Pratt Home in St. John’s, NL. Predeceased by her parents Gabriel and Bridget Bourgeois, daughter Chris King-Seguin, grandchildren Elliot & Faye Feakins & Lorna Maw, sisters Aggie Ellis, Leona Bourgeois & Essie Ellsworth, brother Herb Bourgeois. She leaves to mourn her husband Aaron, children Debbie (Karl) Butt, Marjorie (Don) Benoit, Allan (June) King, Shirley (Mark) Malashewski, Cathy King (Bob Sinnicks), Beverley King, step-daughter Geraldine (Edwin) Cake, grandchildren Terry Benoit, Donna Benoit, Scott King, Jonathon King-Seguin, Lisa Bryson, Jeff Cornect, Chelsea Sinnicks, Liam Sinnicks, Allan Cake & Robert Cake, sisters Bobbie (Jarvis) Sheppard, Judy Bourgeois and Bernadette Bourgeois, brothers Clem Bourgeois and Jim (Regina) Bourgeois, and her great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as her circle of friends. Sis will be remembered by her family as a beautiful singer, a grower of magnificent dahlias, and the most wonderful cook. She loved dancing and walks in the woods, playing cards and travelling to visit her children and grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to laugh, and was a source of strength and courage to all of us through the most trying of times. Mom was gentle, wise and kind, and even though she endured many difficult days after she became ill, she remained – always – grateful for her life and her family. She had great faith in God and loved Him through it all, knowing he would come and take her Home when it was time. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road in St. John’s, NL on Tuesday, March 19, from 2 p.m.–5 p.m. and 7 p.m.– 9 p.m. Visitation and Funeral Mass will take place in Stephenville, Newfoundland, at later date which will be announced. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation to a charity of one’s choice may be made.The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Agnes Pratt Home for their compassion, kindness and care over the last three years.
