The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, March 16, 2013, of George Sampson, beloved husband of Dianne (nee Gauthier), of North Rustico, age 65.
George was the cherished father of Ken (Tracy Reid), Garth and Stephen; and grandfather of Jordan and Benoit; Luke; and Breanna. He is also survived by his devoted and loving mother, Edna (nee Gauthier); sisters and brothers, Dolores Watts (Allison), Paul, Carl (Lysette), Robert, Patricia Malone (Pat), Allan (Marian), Anita Mullins (Frazer) and Joan Nantes (Ian); sister-in-law, Bonnie Conrod; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Cornelius Sampson.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Monday, March 18, 2013, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products. Interment later in Stella Maris Cemetery.
