CRANDALL, RAYMOND EDWARD - The passing of Raymond Edward Crandall of Fredericton, NB occurred on Saturday March 16, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was 70. Born in Fredericton NB, he was the son of the late Murray and Ruth (McKeen) Crandall. Affiliated with the St. James Presbyterian Church, Raymond was a self-employed handyman for over twenty five years, was an avid golfer and loved his trips to Cuba. Survived by his wife Verla (Mazerall) Crandall, one daughter Jillian Green (Andrew) of Fredericton, one brother Phil Crandall (Sheila) of Newmarket NB, three grandchildren Greggory, Ashleigh and Emma, one great-grandchild Taylor, one nephew Troy Crandall and one niece Tammy Grieve, mother in law Myrtle Mazerall. Also surviving are his two cats Buff and Whiskers.
Respecting Raymond’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at 2 PM from the Saint James Presbyterian Church, 1991 Highway 640, Hanwell, NB with Rev. Wendy MacWilliams officiating. Interment will take place in the Saint James Presbyterian Church Cemetery in the spring. A reception in the church hall will immediately follow. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Rev. Wendy MacWilliams as well as the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for all the excellent care they gave to Raymond during his illness. For those who wish, memorials can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
