ROBICHAUD, LEO JOSEPH - It is with heavy hearts that we wish to announce the passing of Leo J. Robichaud, at his camp in Lepreau, on March 16, 2013. Beloved husband of Mary “Becky” (Beckingham) Robichaud, Leo was born in Neguac, NB, a son of the late Antoine and Josephine Robichaud. He was a Longshoreman for more than 45 years. Leo worked for the Port of Saint John and was a proud member of ILA #273. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to spend time at his camp in Lepreau. In addition to his loving wife, Leo is survived by his sons Gary, Saint John, NB and Stephen (Angie) Edmonton, AB; grandchildren Christian, Julia and Stephanie, also of Edmonton, AB; brothers Roger (Antoinette) Riviere de Cache, NB, Eustache, Saint John, NB., Emile (Dianne) Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, Ola (Francoise) Montreal, QC; sisters Delcia Joyce, Saint John, NB, Geraldine Henri (Clarence), Bernadette Savoie (Bob Reid), all of Saint John, NB, Lydia Duguay (Emile) Browns Flat, NB, Lauza Boisvert (Raymond Doiron) Hoyt, NB, Linda Cave (Greg) Mississauga, ON; sisters-in-law Audrey and Alice and many brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, as well as his chosen son Julian Austin, Winnipeg, MB. In addition to his parents, Leo was also predeceased by his brothers Elvery and Domicien.
Arrangements under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. (646-2424) where the family will receive visitors Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral will take place Thursday, March 21, 2013 from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 1 pm followed by a reception at the funeral home. Private committal at a later date.
