Ina Jean Gulliver, 85, Truro, N.S. passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Townsview Estates, Truro, surrounded by her family. Born in Alberton, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Christina (Marshall) Pridham. Ina loved gardening and especially her flowers, and also had a great passion for dogs. She was a former member of St. George’s Anglican Church, Bible Hill, and a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Truro. She is survived by her children, Jean Nystrom-Born (Hart) of Lethbridge, AB, Gerry (Ann) of Cambridge, ON, Joan Sawatsky (Chuck) of Mount Stewart, PEI, Harry (Joanne) of Bible Hill, Wayne (Ursula) of Truro, Donna Gallant (Art) of Montrose, PEI, Christine Gamble (Aubrey) of Belmont, Kim (Valerie) of North River, David of Brantford, ON, Anna Gulliver-Cameron of North River, Carol Hoare (Steven) of Medicine Hat, AB; 28 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Alfred of Winnipeg, MN, Ernest (Andreen) of Lunenburg, Herbert (June) of Montrose, PEI, Alder (Bessie) of Montrose; sisters, Helen Burns of Hilden, Shirley Barbour (Blair) of Montrose; many loved nieces and nephews.
Ina was predeceased by her husband Murray Gulliver; son Maurice; daughter Gloria; grandsons Curtis and Jake. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 22, from 7-9 p.m. in the Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 23, at 2 p.m. in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Truro. Rev. Lori Ramsey and Rev. Dr. Brian Spence will officiate with a reception to follow in the Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, Truro. Burial will take place at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations in Ina’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church.
