Dorothy May “Snook” Clarke - 92, of New Minas, formerly of Kentville, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born on April 19, 1920 in Waterville, Kings County, she was the only daughter of the late Frederick L. and Dorothy (Timmins) Dalrymple. She was a member of the Kentville United Baptist Church, the Minas 50-Plus Seniors and the Highland Seniors. She is survived by four sons, Frederick (Bernice) Clarke, Ashland, Massachusetts; Blake Clarke, Kentville; Jim (Allana) Clarke, Southboro, Massachusetts; Mark (Gay) Clarke, New Minas; 10 grandchildren, Kara, Chris, Jennifer, Sean, Shawna, Michelle, John H., Jillian, Charles and Michelle; 13 great grandchildren, J.J., Anakin, Zoe, Matthew, Tyler, Tamara, Toni, Thomas, Charles, Sophia, Maya, Robert and Kayla. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank O. Clarke. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, Reverend Ellen Hunt and Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Minas 50-Plus Seniors or the Highland Seniors.
