JOHNSON, Jessie Belle (Pitman) - Olson Glo Estates and formerly of Plymouth, passed away at Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family on March 13, 2013 at the age of 83. Born in Brooklyn, Jessie was the 2nd eldest daughter of the late Hartley and Clara (Tinkham) Pitman. Jessie loved her family dearly and enjoyed many summers at Brazil Lake with her sisters and families. She had a love for music, playing cards and bingo. For most of her life, Jessie was a homemaker but also worked in retail. She is survived by daughters Norma Doucet (Larry) of Upper Wedgeport, Sandy Grenier (Larry) of Halifax and a son Bruce LeBlanc and his wife Sharon, who was looked upon by Jessie as one of her own; stepchildren Shannon, Kellie and Scott Johnson. She is also survived by her brother Ross "Buzz" Pitman (late Audrey) of Raynardton, Jean Scott (late Lloyd) of Plymouth and Norma Goodwin (Larry) of Argyle Sound. Grandchildren Laurie, Allan, Kelly, Kevin, Holly and Karen. Step-Grandchildren Steven and Cody. Eight Great-Grandchildren and Godson Peter Hansen. She was predeceased by husbands Francis LeBlanc and Sidney Johnson. The family wishes heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Dr. Lefel and Dr. Randall. Thanks to all who made visits, phone calls, prayers and any form of kindness. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Service took place at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. A.D. Bill Newell officiated. There was visitation 1 hour prior to funeral time from 1-2 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in Jessie’s memory may be made to the Plymouth Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
