Taken from his family suddenly at the age of 47, was born on February 24, 1966 and died March 17, 2013. Predeceased by his mother Doris Margaret Whalen; brothers: Edward Whalen and Paul Benjamin Whalen; niece Angela Randell; sister-in-law Linda Whalen (Young); mother-in-law Anne Hammond; father- in-law Kevin Byrne; brother-in-law Patrick Hammond; long time friend Mike Hogan. Left to mourn with broken hearts his father Joseph Edward Whalen; common-law spouse Kelly Hammond; his two beautiful daughters: Brittany and Brooke Hammond; step son Brad Hammond (Roxanne); step-father-in-law Calvin Sheppard; brothers: Cyril Randell, Mike Whalen (June), Billy Whalen (Denise); sisters: Liz Vinnicombe, Cynthia Baker (Rod), Mary Anne Whalen (Kevin) and Ada Whalen; sisters-in-law Colleen Chafe (Terry) and Sandra Reid (Barry); very special family friends: Jenny King and Laurie Hogan; as well as his god-children. Also a large circle of very special family and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist.
