Rhodes, Florence Eloise (Stokes)
1916-2013
At the Drew Nursing Home, peacefully during sleep in her 96th year, the family, with great sadness, announces the passing of Florence Eloise (Stokes) Rhodes.
Born in Middle Sackville, August 8, 1916, Florence was a daughter of the late Harvey and Gertrude Stokes.
Florence was a homemaker all her life.
Predeceased by her husband William in 1986, Florence is survived by her son Alan and grandson Michael. She was also predeceased by brother Robert in 1950, son Charles in 1982, and sister Vera in 2009. She is also survived by one niece, one nephew and several cousins.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300), from where visitation was held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2013. A funeral service was held from the funeral home on Monday, March 18, at 3 p.m. Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiated. Interment will be in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring.
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations in Florence's memory may be made to the Main Street Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
