O’CONNOR, Rudolph Russell Sr., Roseway Manor, Sandy Point, formerly of Jordan Falls, passed away in the Manor on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Born in Jordan Falls, he was a son of the late Charles and Jessie (Fredericks) O’Connor. Rudolph served with the North Atlantic Highlanders from 1942 until 1946. He was employed with Nova Scotia Power for 38 years, until his retirement. Rudolph was a past member of the I.O.O.F, Jordan Falls. He is survived by sons, Rudolph Jr. (Beverley), Harry (Lea); daughters, Georgina (Phil) D’Entremont, Jessie (Bill) Acker; Peggy Davis; Jacqueline (Gary) Bourque; brother, Charles (Helen) O’Connor; sister, Myrna Barclay; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Miriam Sussman; brother, Sherman O’Connor. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Norma Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Holy Trinity Lake John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lake John Cemetery or Canadian Cancer Society.
