Passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, after a brief illness William Joseph Hollahan in his 86th year. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years Isabel; three daughters: Kay Boersma (Bob), Halifax, Jean Hewlin (Verbon), Corner Brook and Judy Hollahan, Corner Brook; grandchildren: Chris Hewlin, Heather Hewlin-Vita (Adam), Beth Goulding (Jay), Adam Anderson (fiancé, Natalie Dyke), Julia Pender, Shaun Boersma; great grandchildren Jack and Noah Goulding; brothers: Edward Hollahan, Thomas Hollahan (Linda), Kevin Hollahan (Anne); sisters: Mary Leslie (Calvin), Sarah Companion, Audrey Johnson (Johnny), Patricia Cosman; brother-in-law, Herbert Wilton (Mary), as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bill was predeceased by his parents: Samuel and Norah; his sisters: Marjorie Prosper, Cecilia Dugas, brother Jack Hollahan, and Samuel Hollahan Jr., who passed away 6 hours after Bill. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 23rd at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church, Park Street Marilyn Avery officiating followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
