The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 of Raeford Leslie MacLean, age 81 years old, beloved husband of Jean (nee Campbell). Born in O’Leary on May 26, 1927, he was the son of the late Leslie and Ruby (Costain) MacLean of Dunblane. Loving father of Garnet (Sharon) MacLean of Truro; Stephen (Lorraine) MacLean of Bloomfield; Gwen MacLean of Charlottetown; Cindy MacLean of Charlottetown; John (Laura) MacLean of Houston, Texas; and Betty MacLean of Charlottetown. Grandfather of Rebecca (Lauchlin) MacLure, Leslie (Amanda) MacLean, Carrie MacLean, Matthew MacLean, Norma Jean MacLean, Caroline MacLean, Mark (Kellie) Annett, James MacLean, Raymond MacLean, Rosemary MacLean, David MacLean and Ryan MacLean. Great grandfather of Zackary and Reagan MacLean and Hunter Annett. Dear brother of Esther (late Harding) Boulter, Boulter Road; Herman (Lillian) MacLean of Dunblane; and Rosamond (late Harry) MacAusland of Bloomfield. Brother in law of Eliza (Eric) MacEwen of Stanley Bridge; Margaret (Sterling) Rayner of Summerside; James K. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Thursday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Friday, June 27, 2008, 10:30 a.m. at the O’Leary United Church.
