It is with great sadness that the family of the late Samuel Lawrence Hollahan announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters: Holly (Douglas) Strickland and Carol (Gilles) St-Pierre; sons: Gary (Elaine) and Frank; grandchildren: Michelle, Mark and Jeremy; brothers: Edward, Thomas (Linda) and Kevin (Anne); sisters: Mary (Calvin) Leslie, Sarah Companion, Audrey (Johnny “Murry”) Johnson and Patricia Cosman, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Emma (Nee Wilson); parents Norah & Samuel Hollahan Sr.; sisters: Marjorie Prosper, Cecilia Dugas; brothers: Jack and William, who passed away 6 hours prior to Sam. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday, March 22nd between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. At Samuel’s request, cremation will take place. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 24th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from Oakland United Church, Reverend Myles Vardy officiating. Interment will follow from Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
