McNUTT, JOAN - Joan McNutt, 82, of Moncton, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late George Raymond and Dorothy (Copp) McNutt. Throughout her life, Joan was committed to helping others and she was dedicated to her cats. Joan took great pleasure in gardening and reading on the cottage porch while looking out at Baie Verte. She was a Mount Allison graduate, a Beaverbrook Scholar, and a brilliant high school English teacher. Joan was gay positive and anti-bullying before they were invented. She was a lover of Blake and a stalker of TS Elliot. Joan is survived her God-daughters, Linda McNutt and Maeve McNutt; her nephews, John McNutt and Kevin Gibson; and her sister-in-law, Alberta (Bobbie) McNutt. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, George Robert (Bob) McNutt.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
