John "Jack" Allain

ALLAIN, JOHN "JACK" - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of John “Jack” Allain, who passed away on March 20th, 2013. Born in Saint John March of 1943. He was the son of the late Aurel and Louise (Mainville) Allain. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, feeding the birds, tending to his fish pond and his canine companions. Jack was a mechanic and worked for the DOT for over 30 years retiring in 2001. He was a volunteer for the Fundy Regional Community Living and a member of the CUPE Local #1190. Jack is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years Coby (Mallet) Allain of Nauwigewauk; son John Joseph (Kathleen) of Hampton; daughters Julie Allain (Kevin Bastarache) of Saint John and Michelle Allain of Nauwigewauk; son-in-law Hans Bamberg of Springfield; brothers Kenneth (Tamera) and Howard (Brenda Page) both of Saint John; sisters Aurella Delaney (Victor) of Merrigomish, NS, Julia Golden (John) of Kingston and Margot Allain (Sue Northrup) of Saint John; four grandchildren Nicholas, Timothy, Colin and Emma; one great-granddaughter Azaryn; nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Jack was predeceased by his daughters Elizabeth Louise Allain and Annette Mary Bamberg and two sisters Hilda and Irene Allain.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Sunday, March 24th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 39 Tiley Street, Hampton, NB on Monday, March 25th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place at the Hampton Rural Cemetery at a later date.
