It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother on March 21, 2013, at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia, formerly of Red Island and Fox Harbour, at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by her daughter Catherine and son-in-law Vern Zwicker, her grandson Paddy Mulrooney, parents Patrick Mulrooney & Mary Jane, step-father Thomas Nolan, brothers Dan, John & Pad Mulrooney, sister Margaret, parents-in-law William & Ellen Carroll. Left with fond and loving memories: her husband Paddy of 66 years; sons: Bill (Doris), Ferndale, Cyril (Dee), Hamilton, ON, Pat (Patsy), Dunville, Jerome (Barb), Point Verde, Gary (Sandra), Smithville, ON; daughters: Viola (Gord Murray), Windsor, ON, Betty (Cyril Noseworthy), Mt. Pearl, Judy (Francis Mulrooney), Dunville, Mary (Ken Duke), Mt. Pearl, Ellen (John Griffiths), Kitchener, ON; her sister Kate & (Bob) Salm, Woodbridge, USA; brother-in-law Cyril (Margaret) Carroll; 22 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special godchildren, Jackie Mulrooney and Yvonne Spurvey (Paul); special friend, Matt Spurvey and all her friends and neighbours. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation will be on March 21, 2013 from 7-9 p.m.; Friday, March 22 from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 23 at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia. Cremation to follow.
