Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, June 26, 2008, of Mrs. Marion I. Shepherd (nee Weir) of Charlottetown, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Edward Shepherd; and dear mother of Cathy Pesa and Bobby (Kathy Stewart) Shepherd. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Lorrie, Shelley, Mandy, Troy, Kirsty, Devin; special granddaughter, Cathy Larter; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Ann Burhoe. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine (nee Quay) Weir; brother, John Weir; and twin sister, Mae Weir. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 3 p.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at People’s Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Marion’s memory may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Equipment Fund or the P.E.I. Humane Society.
