Frederick Wayne O’Brien
Frederick Wayne O’Brien - “Died. Dead.” Wayne passed away on 22 March, 2013 in the Palliative Care Unit in the Aberdeen Hospital with his wife and family by his side. Born in New Glasgow on March 23, 1950, he was the son of the late Fred & Joan (MacLean) O’Brien. He worked at Trenton Works, and previously at the Pictou Shipyards and Maritime Steel. He enjoyed painting, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grand-children.
Besides his wife of 41 years Frieda (Robinson), he is survived by his children: Delma Lynn (Chris) and their children Dominique and Patrick; Johnston (Teresa) and their children Kimberley (Dave, and their son Jonathon), J.D., and Skylar; Freddie (Amanda), and Joan (Shane) their daughter Brooklyn, and Shane Frederick Wilson due to arrive in June. He is also survived by his sister Lynn (Pat) MacDonald, brother Jerry O’Brien, aunts Pearl (George) Coady, and Lily Brine; nieces, nephews, cousins, and sister-in-law Delma Perry. Private cremation arrangements were entrusted to niece Kelly Miles of Fredericton. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. Donations in Wayne’s memory can be made to Lorda Park, the IWK, or the Palliative Care Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital.
