HOFFE, Ella – Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the Captain William Jackman Memorial Hospital, Labrador City, Ella “Babe” Hoffe (nee Oake) of Change Islands and Wabush, age 91 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Wilfred, her parents Arthur & Edith Oake, parents-in-law Alfred John & Emma Hoffe, sister Nellie Blake (Herbert), son-in-law Gregory Hynes, sister-in-law Lizzie Jones (Titus) and niece Madalene Earle (Harry). Leaving to mourn: daughters Glenys Hynes and Linda Bown; son-in-law Wallace Bown; grandchildren Dana (Dave), Dawn, Philip (Vanessa), Peggy (Gerard), Tara (Chris), Heather (James) and Julie (Jean Michel); great-grandchildren Hunter, Xavyer, Montgomeree, William, Ella, Quintin, Abby and Lulu; brother Archdeacon Frederick Oake (Lillian); nephews Roy Jones (Mary), Lloyd Blake (Nadine), David Oake (Denise), Peter Oake, Michael Oake; niece Marguerite Jones; Tom Eastler (Sue), close family friend; also a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at St. Margaret’s Church, Change Islands on February 5 and 6. Funeral Service at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2010. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Change Islands. Memorial service in Wabush at a later date.
