ST. CROIX, Nora Frances (nee Finn) — Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on February 5, 2010, Nora St. Croix, aged 82 years. Predeceased by husbands: Patrick Meehan, Austin St. Croix, Joseph St. Croix and her loving sister Mary Ann O’Brien. Leaving to mourn her loving daughter Kathleen (Wayne) and son Richard (Margaret); grandchildren: Meaghan, Thomas, Sarah, Julia and Richard, her dear nieces Margie, Cathy and Joni, her companion and friend Chesley Knight and daughter Barbara and family, of Stephenville, sons and daughters of Austin St. Croix: Elsie, Kenneth, Junior, Theresa, George and Kevin, whom my mother cared deeply for and thought so highly of. A special thank you to Elaine and Paul Neville and staff of Neville’s Personal Care Home for the love and devotion shown to my mother during her stay. Also thank you to the staff, doctors and all disciplines, of 7 West St. Clares. Visitation will be held at Gibbons’ Funeral Home, St. Mary’s, at a time to be announced. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church, St. Mary’s, at a time to be announced. All her life Nora had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially strays. In lieu of flowers at the funeral, donations may be made in her memory to the SPCA.
