Passed peacefully away at St. Luke’s Nursing Home on Monday, March 25, 2013, in his 95th year. Born December 15, 1918, at Templeman, Bonavista Bay, and lived most of his life in St. John’s. Leaving to mourn with loving thoughts, his wonderful wife Ethel (Hounsell) of 70 years; daughter Shirley (Bert Avery); granddaughter Sandi (Paul Baker); great-grandsons: Darnell and Jordan Baker; sister Louise (Tom Fleming); special niece Julia (Ches Gill); and many other relatives and friends, Thanks to the staff and residents of St. Luke’s Homes for making his home there such a pleasant and happy one. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Wednesday, March 27th, from 2:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Thursday, March 28th, at 11:00 a.m. No flowers by request.
