John J. “Johnny” LeBlanc, 75, of South Windsor, beloved husband of the late Mary (Fournier) LeBlanc, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, March 26, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Brunswick, Canada to the late Pierre and Leona (Doucet) LeBlanc, he was raised in Canada but has been a South Windsor resident for almost 40 years. Johnny was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi church in South Windsor and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and summer cookouts. He loved watching boxing matches and was an amateur boxer himself. Known for his great sense of humor and friendly nature, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his son Jimmey LeBlanc of Brooklyn, NY; his daughters Cheryl LeBlanc and her significant other Glenn Sinsigallo of East Windsor, and Linda Reale and her husband Guy, of Ellington; his grandchildren Joey Caputo and Sophia Reale; his brother Ernest LeBlanc of New Brunswick, Canada; his sisters, Helen Cormier of Ontario, Canada, Noella Gautreau of The Villages, FL, Lorette Ahern and Marie Cormier, both of New Brunswick, Canada. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brothers George and Eric LeBlanc, and his sisters Rita Leger, Florence LeBlanc, Louise Roy, and Sister Eveline LeBlanc NDSC. A memorial service will be held at 12 PM Monday, April 1 at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd South Windsor followed by burial in Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 11 AM to 12 PM.
